i'm baaaack... sort of...

I've been away for a bit. A birthday (mine, ugh), and a couple of impromptu trips have taken me away from my computer for a bit, but here I am again.

I'm aware that my last two posts have been about Breaking Dawn and now this one is, too. Sorry. I am obsessed but I haven't dedicated my life to the obsession. I've actually been avoiding most things Breaking Dawn related for the last couple weeks as the controversy is something I just don't have the patience for. My opinion, the author writes the book she wants, the reader likes it or doesn't like it. It's completely subjective and if you don't like it, why dwell on it? Find something else that makes you happy. Let go and let live. No need to kill the lover's buzz!

That being said, I finally got on the computer today and carefully dabbled around the fan sites and was thrilled to come across this fabulous interview with Stephenie Meyer. Almost everything you ever wanted to know about Breaking Dawn. The interview consists of ten clips listed on the sidebar and is quite lengthy in total, but so worth it! Beware: SPOILERS GALORE. If you haven't finished Breaking Dawn, do that first and then watch!

P.S. Life is beyond crazy lately. I always have trouble wrapping up summer, especially when they seem to get unbelievably shorter each year. I WILL be back with non-Twilight related stuff soon.

Where. Did. This. Summer. Go?!

i've been slow to comment about the book on your blog. i enjoyed it myself. definitely didn't anticipate most of it. i guess i've been oblivious to all this complaining. i love discussing books and hearing about what others think, but didn't know a lot of people were disappointed. personally i liked how the series wrapped up in eclipse, so i can't say i was super excited about a new book (not that i didn't read as fast as i could), but i did find it very interesting to see where meyer took these characters. this whole series has been such a fun ride and i look forward to watching that interview.

I would say amen as well, but I have not read the books. I will definitely go see the movie/movies when they come out (I am still reading Lord of the Rings...taking forever). For the record, everyone that I know that has read the books in question has loved them....you'll always find a vocal minority who desire to be heard more than actually having a belief in their cause. I say, keep loving the books and let those who are don't have their moment to look dumb.

I loved it. I'm glad you encouraged me to read the series. We can't wait for the movie and I heard a rumor from our YW that it is now coming out in November instead of December. Have you heard that?

I'm like soooo close to finishing the book right now that I can't believe I'm sitting here typing rather than reading!

I haven't heard any of the controversy yet except through other friends who are also readers, so I don't know much, but gheesh...I guess some people just need better things to do with their time.
