The Poisonwood Bible is currently on my nightstand. I started it a few days ago. Once again, beautifully written but, not calling me to bed early to read... yet. If it's anything like Prodigal Summer I'll be sucked in soon. I'm looking forward to that.
I thought my next book would be New Moon, the sequel to Twilight, but I decided to wait. I've heard mixed reviews and wasn't sure if I wanted to continue. I find that I'm still curious so I think I will. Perhaps my next book.

Love the Poisonwood Bible!!! I am reading New Moon now. It's ok...but not as compelling as the first one.
Poisonwood Bible...you're way behind girl. I read that like 3yrs ago...didn't I ever tell you to pick that one up? As far as the Vampire books go, I finished #2, not so great, but I started #3 and my friends say it's better. We'll see. The story seems to be draaaaggging now. I can't imagine a 4th!

laurel - hmmm... yeah... i think i had a preschooler, a toddler and a newborn three years ago. you try to be current on books in that situation. i think i helped someone plan a wedding around that time, too! i'm catching up... slowly, but surely! good to know your thoughts on #2. i guess i'll just have to see for myself since i'm still curious! hey, if you still have #2 do you mind sending it my way with Heather next week?
I really really loved Poisonwood Bible. Prodigal Summer has been sitting on my bookshelf forever. Guess I should crack it open
