polaroids, swapping & flickr?...

I love this idea that I saw at flickr via Marta's inspiration ideas for her new "Back 2 School Swap."

Now, what did I do with my old Polaroid camera?

The swap looks like fun. I haven't done a swap yet. They always tempt me but I fear adding another to-do to my already endless list. To swap or not to swap... that is the question.

Also,someone please explain flickr to me... I see it everywhere. I know it's a way to share photos but otherwise I don't get it. Is it like blogging? Are there people's sites that you visit regularly to see what they've been photographing? Clueless...
