photo challenge...

Alas, the Photo Challenges are no more. I'm a bit disappointed as these were fun and doable. I'll just have to get creative and challenge myself...

photograph a face that mysteriously appears...

Okay... I failed Assignment #4.

No, the above photo is not mine. It belongs to Daring Young Mom. I just thought it was an interesting coincidence that she posted this picture on the same day that Andrea posted the photo challenge.

I did not come across any mysteriously appearing faces in my travels last week. I probably could have looked harder but we've been crazy jamming in summer activities before school starts this week. Where, where, where did the summer go?

a heart that appears on my path...

Assignment #3... photograph a heart that appears on your path. This is mine. I kept forgetting my camera last week so this was the only heart that I came across to photograph. A little hosta love...

get a little closer...

Finally turning in Assignment #2. I don't think I have the right camera for this. Either that or I really need to find some time to experiment more. Anyway, I wasn't thrilled with my results, but here they are.

The first one is obviously bark from a huge old oak tree in a park that I brought the kids to.

The second one is blueberries from a recent blueberry picking foray.

The third one was the one I really wished had worked out. It's my shower curtain. I have a clear liner and when the water beads up on it the beads reflect the pattern of the curtain in miniature, convex gingham bubbles. I love it... but alas was unable to capture it. I think I may try again if I can find the time.

Off to see what the next challenge is...

view through a glass...

Fulfilling this assignment! How fun... a portrait of my munchkins through a glass!

Thought this one of Princess came out cute, too... love the lips!
