cha-cha swims...

Cha-Cha can jump off the side of the pool, swim through my legs and around, then swim back to the side of the pool. I am impressed! She's three and the first of my children to embrace swimming so early. The Boy loves to swim now but didn't get into it until he was six or so. Princess still struggles with putting her face in the water. I'm not much of a swimmer, I love to be in the pool as long as it's not too deep to stand with my head above water. The Husband is a fish. My mother-in-law says he's been this way since he was little like Cha-Cha. She must get it from him.

She's been fearless in the water since she could walk. She was never one of the babies sitting in the shallow water playing with her buckets. No, she was the one being chased by me as she spluttered nose deep in the water... repeatedly. I thought it was scary... she thought it was hilarious. I wonder what next year will be like...
